  65. A.  SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  66.  
  67. WISDOM OF THE AGES for Windows will work with any IBM or compatible PC
  68. running Windows 3.1 or Win 95 with a VGA graphics card and hard disk
  69. drive with about 6.6 megabytes of free disk space.  (An extra 1.5
  70. megabytes is temporarily needed for installation.)

  73. B.  INSTALLATION OVERVIEW FOR A BBS DOWNLOAD
  74.  
  75. Before you can use WISDOM OF THE AGES for Windows you have to run the
  76. SETUP program from Window's Program Manager so it will work properly on
  77. your computer.  YOU CANNOT JUST COPY THE UNZIPPED FILES TO A DIRECTORY ON
  78. YOUR HARD DISK.  WIS_PAK.EXE is a self extracting archive.  The SETUP
  79. program will expand it; put files in their correct places; and optionally
  80. create a Windows Program Group.

  83. C.  INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
  84.  
  85. Although the program can be installed to any Target Directory on any Hard
  86. Disk Drive, the instructions below assume that you are using the default
  87. values of:
  88.  
  89.  Hard Disk Drive: C:
  90.  Source Directory: \DOWNLOAD  (Where the UnZipped Files are Located.)
  91.  Target Directory \WISDOM25
  92.  
  93. If you use different values modify the instructions accordingly.
  94.  
  95. We suggest that you Move WISWIN25.ZIP to a floppy disk and save it as
  96. your backup copy before proceeding.
  97.  
  98. 1. The installation process is started by running SETUP.  Since SETUP is
  99.    a Windows application, you must start Windows (if you haven't
  100.    already done so), then
  101.       Windows 3.1 Users - select Files|Run from Program Manager's menu.
  102.       Windows 95 Users  - select Start|Run.
  103.    In the provided text box type C:\DOWNLOAD\SETUP and click <OK>.*
  104.    (* Where "DOWNLOAD" is the name of the directory containing the
  105.    UnZipped files from files from WISWIN25.ZIP.)
  106.  
  107. 2. SETUP assumes you will install to C:\WISDOM25.  You will be given the
  108.    opportunity to change this assumption.  SETUP will also ask your
  109.    permission to create a WISDOM Program Group and populate it with group
  110.    files.  Unless you'd prefer to do this yourself, we'd suggest you
  111.    answer "Yes." **
  112.  
  113. 3. The entire SETUP procedure takes about four minutes.  Much of that
  114.    time will be spent unpacking compressed files.  When SETUP is done,
  115.    there will be about a six second delay when nothing seems to be
  116.    happening, and then WISDOM OF THE AGES will start to run.
  117.  
  118. 4. After the program has run, you can delete all the WISWIN files NOT in
  119.    the target directory, such as WISWIN25.ZIP and WIS_PAK.EXE.
  120.  
  121.  
  122.     **  Please wait three seconds before answering "Yes."  This dialog
  123.         will briefly flash on the screen before the files have been
  124.         unpacked - Windows 95 users will hear a sound when this happens.
  125.         Some 386 owners, with quick reflexes, have managed to answer
  126.         "Yes" before the files have been unpacked.  If you wait three
  127.         seconds, you're sure to answer "Yes" at the right time.
